Iowa Solar Tax Credits!

APPLY BEFORE DEADLINE!

In its last-minute budget bill, the Iowa Legislature approved the payment of solar tax credits due on installations that were completed before the end of 2021. So even if you received a denial due to the expiration of the tax credit, you can still receive the credit. If you have already applied, you do not need to re-apply. The re-opening of the tax credit was the result of intense work by Iowa’s various Clean Energy Districts (including Howard County Energy District), ISETA (the Iowa Solar Energy Trade Association, and others, and the leadership of Senator Klimesh and Representative Bergan and their colleagues.
