CB&T Sponsors HCED’s First Energy Breakfast

Members of Cresco’s Chamber of Commerce attended HCED’s first Energy Breakfast on the morning of February 15th, 2018. The purpose of the event (sponsored by CB&T) was to introduce HCED to local business owners and talk about lighting options for their businesses. The event was held at Heritage Events Center with the meal provided by McAllister Catering.

Amy Bouska, HCED’s Chair, started off by introducing the organization and explaining HCED’s goals and aspirations. Donna Thomas, CB&T President, shared information on the efficiency and solar projects CB&T has completed and talked about the financing options CB&T provides for such projects. The last presentation was made by HCED Board Member, Stan Fosaaen. Stan talked about calculating payback periods for lighting upgrades and gave examples of different lights and savings, including LED lights which use as much as 80% less electricity than incandescent bulbs. The presentation came complete with a demonstration of how easily compact fluorescent lights can break!
