UPDATED: HCED hosts 2019 Solar Fair at Cresco Theatre on Saturday, July 27th

The Howard County Energy District held its second solar fair on Saturday, July 27th! The event took place at the Cresco Theatre & Opera House and Champlin Hall, with talks upstairs in the theatre proper and vendor displays in Champlin Hall. The presentations focused on solar basics and solar financing. Representatives from Perry Novak Electric, Massman Construction & Solar, GWA Solar, and 1 Source Solar were present to talk to attendees about solar for their homes and businesses. Representatives from Cresco Bank & Trust and CUSB Bank were also there to talk to people about solar financing options.

Right now is the time to install solar in Iowa! Prices have dropped dramatically over the years, a competitive local market includes numerous high-quality contractors, the tax credits are still available, and net metering is still in place!
