HCED salutes ISU Extension Howard County
April 12-17 is ISU Extension and Outreach Week.
ISU Extension Howard County is showing the way for non-taxpayers to access the advantages of renewable energy by signing a “solar power purchase agreement” with a local investor. This arrangement allows a non-taxpayer to get the effect of the state and local tax credits.
As Sue Barnes said during HCED’s recent Clean Energy Tours: “The meaning and purpose of solar for ISU Extension & Outreach in Howard County is to be on the leading edge of technology and to show our clients, our stakeholders, and our taxpayers that we are working hard to maximize our resources. We want to set an example. We want to be a teacher, and we hope that people will follow our lead. We want to lead Iowans to be the best consumers of energy resources.”
