HCED Hosts Energy Efficiency Tour
On April 5th, 2019 HCED hosted an Energy Efficiency Tour with the purpose of spreading the word about programs and organizations that assist local residents in accomplishing their energy efficiency goals. Tour stops included a home that was weatherized in Fall 2018 with assistance from Community Action; Alum-Line on Highway 9, and Cresco City Hall.
Whether it’s in a home, farm, or business energy efficiency is low-hanging fruit for energy and money savings. Making sure your lights, walls, windows, doors, and appliances are energy efficient is also the first step when thinking about installing renewable energy sources like solar and geothermal. HCED partners with Green Iowa AmeriCorps to provide home energy assessments at little to no cost. Please contact HCED for more information!
